David Martin är utbildad jonglör med examen från cirkusprogrammet vid Stockholms konstnärliga högskola 2024, där han också inledde sitt projekt Metaphoric Objects. Projektet utforskar jongleringens uttrycksmöjligheter berikade med konceptuella och metaforiska lager. David Martin är circusnext 2025-pristagare med detta projekt.
Under residenset på Riksteatern arbetar David med en konstellation av jongleringspoetiska, DIY-cirkusfragment, där han blandar objektmanipulation, musik, scenmekanik och referenser till jongleringens och cirkusens historia.
Projektet har också fått stöd från CIRKO, La Brèche, circusnext, Espace Périphérique, Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde, 2 rue 2 cirque, Subtopia, Circusbende.
David Martin och hans kollega Florimond Dumas har skapat föreställningen Quatre Mains, ett familjeorienterat verk som kombinerar jonglering och musik och som de har turnerat med cirka femtio gånger.

Project: Metaphoric Objects
David Martin trained as a juggler and graduated from the circus programme at Stockholm University of the Arts in 2024, where he also began his research project Metaphoric Objects. The project is exploring the expressive potential of juggling enriched with conceptual and metaphorical layers. David Martin is a circusnext 2025 laureate with this project.
During the residency at Riksteatern, David is working on a constellation of juggle-poetic, DIY circus fragments, blending object manipulation, music, stage tinkering, and references to the history of juggling and the circus.

David Martin and his colleague Florimond Dumas have created the show Quatre Mains, a family-oriented piece combining juggling and music which they have toured around fifty times.
