Benoît Fauchier är akrobat, utbildad vid de nationella cirkusskolorna i Frankrike och Stockholms Konstnärliga Högskola (SKH) i Sverige. Sedan 2009 har han växlat mellan regionala projekt i Bretagne, Champagne och Sverige samt turnerande produktioner i Europa, såsom Urban Rabbits och Circus I Love You. Parallellt utbildad inom bygg och konstruktion arbetar han även med scenografi, riggning och teknik.

Benoît Fauchier:s cirkusredskap är spiralen och han vill förena konstnärskap, pedagogik och konstruktion i en helhet där spiralen får utvecklas och inspirera till nya idéer. För att fira 20 år med sitt arbetsredskap spiralen skapar Benoît nu en föreställning där cirkus, dans och magi möts. Verket utforskar relationen mellan människa och objekt i en fysisk, poetisk och lekfull form.

Project: Spiral Patchwork

Benoît Fauchier is an acrobat, trained at the national circus schools in France and at Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) in Sweden. Since 2009, he has alternated between regional projects in Bretagne, Champagne, and Sweden and touring productions in Europe, such as Urban Rabbits and Circus I Love You. With parallel training in construction and engineering, he also works with set design, rigging, and technology.

Benoît Fauchier's circus apparatus is the spiral, and he strives to combine artistry, pedagogy, and construction into a whole where the spiral can develop and inspire new ideas. To celebrate 20 years with his spiral, Benoît is now creating a performance where circus, dance, and magic meet. The work explores the relationship between humans and objects in a physical, poetic, and playful form.
