Inom Riksteaterns uppdrag för det fria cirkusfältets utveckling kan du som artist, kompani eller regissör, som är skriven i Sverige, ansöka om ett tre veckor långt produktionsresidens under tre veckor 2026.

10 november–1 december 2026

Riksteatern erbjuder

• Tre veckors produktionsresidens i en basutrustad teater/black box enligt en överenskommen teknisk specifikation. Teknisk specifikation kan exempelvis inkludera enkelt ljus/ljud, lagt dansgolv/matta och eventuella övriga tekniska önskemål.
• Teknisk planeringssupport inför residensperioden och viss teknisk support under pågående residensperiod.
• En publik work in progress-visning inklusive samtal med det konstnärliga teamet, under sista veckan i residensperioden, enligt överenskommelse med Riksteaterns residensansvarige.
• Produktionsmedel på 100 000 kronor som utbetalas mot faktura och i på förhand redovisad budget, teknisk specifikation och produktionsresidensplanering.
• Eventuell boendeersättning på upp till totalt 10 000 kronor om du eller någon i teamet inte är skriven i Stockholms län.
• Presentation av utvald artist/kompani på Riksteaterns hemsida för cirkusresidens samt via Riksteaterns sociala medier.

Ansökningskrav

• Du/ni ska vara skrivna i Sverige.
• Produktionen du/ni söker med ska ha behov av att repetera 1:1 i en teater/blackbox samt ha en planerad premiär, speltillfällen, turné och/eller offentligt visningstillfälle.

Ansökan ska innehålla

• Namn artist/kompani.
• Namn kontaktperson.
• E-post kontaktperson.
• Mobilnummer kontaktperson.
• Länk till eventuell hemsida och/eller sociala medier
• Länk till filmat material.
• Presentation av grupp/kompani eller som enskild konstnär (disciplin, erfarenhet, utbildning, osv).
• Presentera ditt/ert projekt. Beskriv så utförligt som möjligt, detta är beslutsgrundande.
• En beskrivning av dina/era förväntningar på perioden. Vad har du/ni tänka att jobba med.
• Ett första utkast på produktionsplaneringen/repetitionsschemat
• Teknisk specifikation: ett dokument som beskriver rummet inkl. önskat ljus, ljud, video, dansmatta, golv osv
• Budget för din/er produktionsresidensperiod på Riksteatern i Hallunda.
• Totalbudget för produktionen, inkl. eventuellt beviljade bidragsansökningar, samarbetspartners och/eller Letter of intent.
• Bifoga presentation av tidigare material/verk, CV samt ritningar eller bilder av modeller, prototyper för ditt projekt om du har eller liknande.
• Premiärdatum, plats och ort. Andra planerade speltillfällen, turnéplan alt. annat offentligt visningstillfälle.
• Vänligen observera att ofullständiga ansökningar inte kommer tas med i urvalet.

As part of Riksteatern's mission to develop the independent circus field, we welcome artists, companies, and directors who are registered in Sweden to apply for a three-week production residency in 2026.

Residency period


November 10–December 1, 2026

Riksteatern offers


• A three-week production residency in a basic theatre/black box according to agreed technical specifications. Technical specifications may include, for example, simple lighting/sound, dance floor/carpet and any other technical requirements.
• Technical planning support prior to the residency period and some technical support during the residency period.
• A public work-in-progress performance, including a discussion with the artistic team, during the last week of the residency period, as agreed with the Riksteatern residency manager.
• Production funds of SEK 100,000, payable against invoice and in accordance with a budget, technical specifications, and production residency plan submitted in advance.
• Possible accommodation allowance of up to SEK 10,000 in total if you or someone in the team is not registered in Stockholm County.
• Presentation of selected artist/company on the Riksteatern website for circus residencies and via the Riksteatern's social media.

At the Riksteatern production house in Hallunda, Stockholm.

Application requirements

• You must be registered as a resident in Sweden.
• The production you are applying for must require 1:1 rehearsal in a theater/black box and have a planned premiere, performance dates, tour, and/or public screening.

The application must include

• Name of artist/company.
• Name of contact person.
• Email address of contact person.
• Mobile number of contact person.
• Link to website and/or social media, if applicable.
• Link to filmed material.
• Presentation of the group/company or individual artist (discipline, experience, education, etc.).
• Present your project. Describe it in as much detail as possible, as this will form the basis for the decision.
• A description of your expectations for the period. What do you plan to work on?
• A first draft of the production plan/rehearsal schedule.
• Technical specifications: a document describing the space, including desired lighting, sound, video, dance mat, flooring, etc.
• Budget for your production residency period at Riksteatern in Hallunda.
• Total budget for the production, including any approved grant applications, partners, and/or letters of intent.
• Attach a presentation of previous material/works, CV, and drawings or images of models, prototypes for your project, if you have them, or similar.
• Premiere date, venue, and location. Other planned performances, tour schedule, or other public viewing opportunities.
• Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
