Marianne och jag

Verket Marianne och Jag är en lustfylld och komisk cirkusföreställning med fart och fläkt, både på marken och i luften. En mystisk artist utför en massa cirkustrix och dyker snabbt upp både här och där, men vem är hon?
Föreställningen handlar om att våga visa vilka vi är och bygger på att två av artisterna, Karin och Hedvig, är tvillingar och identiskt lika. I början är den tredje karaktären Linn, tillsammans med publiken, övertygad om att cirkusartisten är en person och inte två men snart börjar det hända märkliga saker. Publiken engageras och involveras i Linns försök att förstå vad som händer. De får följa karaktärernas kamp att samexistera och samtidigt vara sig själva.

Marianne och Jag är ett samarbete mellan Apocalyptic Circus och Cirk-L. Cirkusresidenset på Riksteatern 2023 var projektets första residens där teamet kunde fokusera på skrivandeprocessen och ett första utkast av föreställningen. Marianne och Jag har sedan haft flera residens och spelats utomhus på en mini-turné i Östergötland. Föreställningen kommer att vidareutvecklas, bland annat under residens på Vara Konserthus, och har nypremiär sommaren 2024 med en inomhusversion.

Marianne och Jag är en familjeföreställning som riktar sig till en publik från 4 år och lämpar sig för mindre scener.

Linn Brodén – Marianne and me

The show Marianne and I is a joyful and comical circus performance with speed, both on the ground and in the air. A mysterious artist performs a lot of circus tricks and quickly appears here and there, but who is she?

The performance is about daring to show who we are and is based on the fact that two of the performers, Karin and Hedvig, are twins and identical. In the beginning, the third character Linn, together with the audience, is convinced that the circus artist is one person and not two, but soon strange things start to happen. The audience is engaged and involved in Linn's attempt to understand what is happening. They follow the characters' struggle to coexist and be themselves at the same time.

Marianne and I is a collaboration between Apocalyptic Circus and Cirk-L. The circus residency at Riksteatern 2023 was the project's first residency where the team could focus on the writing process and a first draft of the show. Marianne and I has since had several residencies and been performed outdoors on a mini-tour in Östergötland during the same year. The show will be further developed, including during residencies at Vara Konserthus, and will premiere again in the summer of 2024 with an indoor version.

Marianne and I is a family performance aimed at an audience from 4 years old and suitable for smaller stages.
