The Perfect Mistake är en duett som kombinerar jonglering och trummande och titeln syftar på föreställningens improvisatoriska karaktär. Stora delar av publiken involveras och ingen vet riktigt vad som kommer hända härnäst. Det handlar om ett kontinuerligt sökande efter en fantastisk final. När den perfekta olyckan inträffar, the perfect mistake, så är föreställningen över!
Stockholmsbaserade cirkuskompaniet Shaking the Sky föddes ur pandemin och består av Jay Gillian, jonglör (Sverige), Sebastian Rotard, musiker (Tyskland), Captain Frodo, regissör (Norge) och Mirja Jauhiainen, producent (Sverige).
Shaking the Sky producerade och hade premiär på sin första show The Perfect Mistake under sommaren 2022. Denna show turnerade kompaniet med i Danmark under en månad med 35 föreställningar i 15 olika städer. Verket framfördes både på olika festivaler för gatuteater och i skolor. Den familjevänliga föreställningen är gjord för att spelas utomhus och under residenset hos Riksteatern kunde kompaniet utveckla den för scen inomhus.
Shaking the Sky ägnar sig åt att skapa och framföra tillgängliga cirkusföreställningar som integrerar levande musik och visuellt teknisk cirkus.

Jay Gillian – The Perfect Mistake

The Perfect Mistake is a duet combining juggling and drumming and the title refers to the improvisational nature of the performance. Large parts of the audience are involved and no one really knows what will happen next. It is a continuous search for a great finale. When the perfect accident happens; the perfect mistake, the show is over!
Stockholm-based circus company Shaking the Sky was born out of the pandemic and consists of Jay Gillian, juggler (Sweden), Sebastian Rotard, musician (Germany), Captain Frodo, director (Norway) and Mirja Jauhiainen, producer (Sweden).
Shaking the Sky produced and premiered its first show The Perfect Mistake in the summer of 2022, which toured Denmark for a month, with 35 performances in 15 different cities. The work was performed both at various street theater festivals and in schools. The family-friendly show is designed to be performed outdoors, and during the residency at Riksteatern, the company was able to develop it for the indoor stage.
Shaking the Sky is dedicated to creating and performing accessible circus performances that integrate live music and visually technical circus.
